RECARO Mako Elite wins the iF Design Award 2020!

The child seat RECARO Mako Elite wins the iF Design Award 2020, the world-renowned design prize, in the category “product”.

Mako Elite won over the 78-member jury, made up of independent experts from all over the world, with amongst other features, its unique air circulation, the integrated Sound System and its Smart Protection Wings. The competition was intense: 7,298 entries were submitted from 56 countries in hopes of receiving the seal of quality.

About the iF DESIGN AWARD
For 67 years, the iF DESIGN AWARD has been recognized as an arbiter of quality for exceptional design. The iF label is renowned worldwide for outstanding design services, and the iF DESIGN AWARD is one of the most important design prizes in the world. Submissions are awarded in the following disciplines: Product, Packaging, Communication and Service Design, Architecture and Interior Architecture as well as Professional Concept. All awarded entries are featured on the iF WORLD DESIGN GUIDE, in the iF design app and are displayed at the iF design exhibition in Berlin.

Recaro Holding and Artsana Group sign license agreement for premium child seats and strollers

Stuttgart, Germany/Grandate, Italy. Recaro Holding GmbH, the holding company of the Recaro Group, and Artsana Group, a multinational group mainly active in the baby care segment, signed a global license agreement relating to the development, production and distribution of premium child seats and strollers under the Recaro brand.

Under the agreement, Recaro Holding as licensor grants Artsana Group as licensee a long-term license for the exclusive, worldwide use of the Recaro brand for high-quality child seats and strollers, once the transaction has been completed.

Artsana Group, headquartered in Italy, is an international group focused on the baby care segment and has achieved a leading market position over the past 60 years. Today it markets brands in more than 150 countries with 10,000 employees worldwide.

In connection with the license agreement, Artsana Group will take over the existing Recaro Child Safety product portfolio and the related child seat know-how in order to maintain the existing premium market positioning and will continue to develop new products in line with the Recaro brand heritage. With this agreement, Artsana Group will be able to expand its position in the juvenile business and strengthen its presence in key markets, especially in Central and Northern Europe.

Both companies share the same values, quality standards and care for their customers.”

The transaction is expected to be completed during the course of the next weeks following the approval of antitrust authorities.

Recaro Kids opens its new office in Bayreuth – Germany

Recaro Kids opens its new office in Bayreuth - Germany

Bayreuth (Germany), May 29th, 2019 – Recaro Kids, the new company of the Artsana Group, a multinational company leader in the Babycare sector which holds the exclusive worldwide license for the development, production and distribution of child seats and strollers under the Recaro brand, announces the opening of its new office at Bayreuth in Germany.
This office will act as a strategic headquarter of Recaro Kids operations, which includes portfolio management, product design & development as well as global marketing.

“Our goal for the brand is to continue optimizing the existing portfolio but also to identify and develop new innovative solutions in the coming years with attention both on consumer needs and market trends ” – says Claudio De Conto, CEO at Artsana and Recaro Kids. “We are very proud of this new milestone that represents an important mark for the Recaro presence in the market” – concludes Claudio De Conto.

More than 20 employees will work in the new headquarter which also includes facilities like design studio and prototyping workshops. This supports the company’s target to continuously optimize the existing product portfolio and in addition to launch new highly innovative products within the next years. Also the team in the new office will closely cooperate with the licensor Recaro Holding and the other Recaro business areas to make use of synergies.

The new headquarter, opened on May 29th, is located in Casselmannstraße 31, 95444 Bayreuth – Germany.
